Royal Andalusian Riding Academy goes on tour to Córdoba, Alicante, Gerona and in the German town of Verden
During the following months, the Royal Andalusian Court Riding Academy goes on tour to different Spanish towns, even though there will happen acts abroad either.
Thereby purebred Andalusian horses perform the world-famous rider's ballet "Cómo bailan los caballos andaluces” (As the Andalusian horses dance).
The starting signal for the tour falls on the 7th of July, at 22 o'clock, on the Plaza de Toros of Pozoblanco (Córdoba). Then it continues at the 22nd July at 21.30 o'clock in Almoradi (Alicante).
Finally, at the 5th and 6th of August, the show "Cómo bailan los caballos andaluces" comes to the city of Verden, in the north of Germany. Then the last actuation of the tour takes place on Saturday, 12th of August, in the mountain village El Bosque (Cádiz). During the show, he equestrians wear a gala dress costume usual in the 18-th century. The choreography of the show unites so heterogeneous disciplines like classical or cowboy's dressage, however, it also encloses traditional elements.
The Court Riding Academy is one of the most famous shop-windows for the Spanish horsemanship all over the world. Moreover, the more than 3000-year-old horse breeding tradition in Jerez and the province of Cadiz contributes substantially to this fame, all that in a region which counts as the cradle of the famous „ Spanish race “. Since her foundation in 1973 by Álvaro Domecq, the Court Riding Academy has received numerous national and international awards. Today she functions as a foundation, which is subordinated to the Andalusian trade-, sports- and tourism ministry.
During the past two years the horses and riders of the Court Riding Academy visited Paris, Toulouse, Lyons, Brussels, Antwerp, Vienna, Hannover, Munich and Rome.
In spite of the fact that the Court Riding Academy has yet performed a lot of external shows during the current year 2006, probably the one that took place during the tourism fair Fitur in Madrid, at the plaza mayor of the Spanish capital, was the most spectacular one, with more than 50.000 spectators.
