Sweden and Denmark to have direct flights to Jerez airport in 2007
My Travel, the Scandinavian tour operator, will fly to Jerez Airport from Sweden and Denmark next year, according to Viajes Olimpia, the local travel agency working with the wholesaler.
My Travel plans to run a weekly flight from Sweden between May and September and another flight from Denmark from June to September, which will mean that 400 tourists from the north of Europe will come to the province each week.
Last year, 6,471 Swedes and 4,769 tourists from Sweden and Denmark respectively stayed in hotels in the province of Cadiz. These figures could increase significantly as there were no direct flights so far from those countries to the province's airport.
In spring 2007, there will be direct flights from Stockholm and in summer from Copenhagen to Jerez.
Its clients will stay in hotels in Conil, Jerez and Novo Sancti Petri, mainly because the tour operator is very satisfied with the level of services and the quality to be found at the four-star hotels in that zone.
Viajes Olimpia pointed out that they are very excited about the operation and that the work is now focused on adjusting the prices, establishing the flight days and on including the destination in the catalogue that My Travel distributes through the travel agencies, together with the other tasks involved in setting up this operation.
My Travel is a British tour operator and is one of the main tourist carriers in Europe together with TUI, Thomas Cook and First Choice.
