Monarch, the low cost airline, has announced that it will begin to fly between Jerez and Manchester on March 25th 2007. The company will run four flights a week and is offering a single fare launch price of €35, excluding taxes.

Tickets are already available from the company’s web site  www.flymonarch.com or by calling 800 099 260.

The company will run four weekly flights between Manchester and Jerez, with 180 seats available on each flight, between March and October, although they plan to run it through to the end of the year.

Juan Carlos Arcones, Monarch Sales Director in Spain, believes that the flights will bring some 30,000 Brits to Jerez, as Jerez and the Costa de la Luz are increasingly more popular with UK tourists and are only 2 hours and 45 minutes away. Jerez airport is also just over an hour away from Gibraltar, another of the Monarch customer’s destinations.

Apart from the low prices, which include free daily newspapers, a wide variety of tasty hot and cold dishes can also be purchased on board. Passengers can avoid the long queues by having their seat pre-allocated for €8 each way or try out one of the 48 new seat with extra leg room.
