Airport Jerez is linked up now with 27 European cities
In 2006 the airport of Jerez will break all records with the interlinking to 27 European towns, still not counting with all the charter flights.
Before this background, this year could be broken through for first time the “sonic barrier” of a million passengers.
With eleven directly linked towns, Federal Republic of Germany ranks already before Spain, where only six airports are connected with Jerez.
In Spain one can fly to Jerez from Barcelona, Madrid, Gran Canaria, León, Palma de Mallorca and Tenerife.
Between Germany and Jerez are actually existing 11 direct connections, under them Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt and Hamburg. In addition, this year there are direct connections to London, Amsterdam, Brussels, Rome and Luxembourg.
While most Airlines are already operating for many years in Cádiz, Arkefly, the Dutch TUI airline, gets started in Jerez for first time this year.
Also TNT Airways maintain her weekly charter connection taken up in 2005, after the good results in that year.
Since this April, Germanwings flies from Cologne-Bonn directly to Jerez, and now Thomas Cook has got Jerez- London Gatwick anew in his program, after that in 2005 there had been already included a connection to Manchester.
In addition the Airline Gestión Aérea ejecutiva offers now a line connection to Palma de Mallorca. The Switzerland airlines Edelweiß and Swiss cover now the connection Zurich-Jerez, a job that had been done before by Belait and Helvetic Airlines.
With the already begun summer high season, numerous new Airlines have included Cádiz in her program, as a reaction to customer requests. Year after year new airlines decide so, and the good results use to confirm the correctness of this decision.
